Three dates to gather with neighbors

Golden Pond's November special events offer time to remember loved ones, honor veterans, and help others in the community.

  • Dia de los Muertos Happy Hour on November 6 provides a gathering connected to the newsletter's theme of remembering loved ones and sharing memories.
  • The Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11 recognizes those who have served. The newsletter invites neighbors to come together in the lobby to honor veterans and thank them for their service.
  • The November 19 give-back event includes collecting clothing donations and assembling care packages for community members in need. Residents can contribute an item or help with the activity.

All three events are listed in the Main Lobby. Check with the Life Enrichment team about participation and donation details.

Plan a November outing

The newsletter and calendar share several shopping and lunch destinations:

  • November 4: Hobby Lobby.
  • November 18: Walmart.
  • November 23: Outback Steakhouse.
  • November 25: Dollar Tree.
  • November 30: Rib City.

The newsletter and calendar also include a Lodge Casino visit and Goodnight Oscar at Miners Alley, but their dates differ between the newsletter and calendar. Confirm those two outing dates with the front desk before signing up.

Use the monthly calendar for other departure times and activities, and visit the front desk to sign up for an outing.

Make room for creativity

The newsletter highlights resident-led painting classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It also introduces watercolor painting with Heidi on Sundays in the Cody Room, with different projects and opportunities to explore color and ideas.

These activities are described in the newsletter without session times. Ask the Life Enrichment team for the current schedule before planning to attend.

People who help the community thrive

November's resident spotlight celebrates a neighbor who shares a love of art by leading painting classes and displaying paintings around the community.

The newsletter recognizes Ayleen as Employee of the Month, highlighting her helpfulness, energy, and willingness to step in when scheduled entertainers cannot attend.

Stay connected with LifeLoop

Golden Pond is introducing LifeLoop for monthly activity calendars, daily schedules, and updates about community activities and events. The newsletter says residents can access it using a mobile phone, tablet, or computer.

Mitchell is available to help residents log in and get started. Ask the Life Enrichment team for help connecting, download the full November newsletter, and visit the activities page to explore the monthly schedule.
